This is where you’ll end up

The amazing Salesforce team, part of our Tech department, empowers Vandebronners with effortless customer interaction. The team is responsible for innovation and maintenance of our Sales and Service clouds, empowering high quality interaction with our customers. Not only that, but the team also manages and runs customer related business processes completely within Salesforce, using Apex and a custom-built Process Engine. Additionally, there are several integrations between systems like the ERP, backend systems and Marketing Cloud. The broad range of technical work, and the close connection with other departments makes the work interesting and allows for new ideas and solutions. As part of the team, you help Vandebron make more impact by working on effective Salesforce solutions and by improving our way of working.


What are you going to do?

  • You will be proposing, designing and implementing effective solutions in the Salesforce environment, continuously adding value to our users and our customers

  • You share the team responsibility for the quality of the deliverables and the Salesforce org

  • You perform code reviews and test development work in the staging environment

  • You will have the autonomy to propose new ways of working, improve the deployment pipeline, refactor solutions, and generally suggest improvements if you think things we can do better

  • You will be leading small projects or specific sections of larger projects

  • You collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to gather and understand project requirements, perform mutual testing and ensure a high-quality deliverable

  • You take initiative in team meetings and discussions about design and implementation

  • You own operational work like managing background jobs and helping Front Office and Back Office

Job requirements

This is how you make a difference

  • You have at least 5 years programming experience of which at least 3 year experience with Salesforce, ideally with a variety of Salesforce projects and implementations

  • You are able to code efficiently in complex Apex (including Async jobs, Queues and REST API), Visualforce and HTML/CSS/Javascript (Lightning and LWC)

  • You understand and apply common design patterns and architectural principles in Salesforce development, including reusability/organization of code, sharing patterns, Triggerhandlers, order of execution, execution context, system limits, async processing and integration patterns

  • You have an excellent understanding of out of the box functionalities, know when you should or should not go for customized implementations, and are motivated to stay informed on new possibilities and developments

  • You have good Knowledge of source control and versioning, specifically Git, Salesforce deployments and SFDX

  • You are a strong communicator and have the ability to convey ideas clearly, collaborate with team members, lead where necessary, and engage in productive discussions
