Who we are

At Vandebron, we're transforming the energy landscape, steering away from the conventional to champion sustainability. Born in 2014, our journey began with Chapter 1, disrupting the market with a transparent platform connecting consumers directly to local, green energy producers.

Now, in Chapter 2, we are dedicated to ensuring 100% green energy availability - 100% of the time. Think smart solutions - flexible use of wind and solar farms, Smart EV Charging, and efficient energy storage. No waiting around - we actively shape a sustainable future.

Green energy, smart solutions - that’s Vandebron.

Your challenge

The energy market is changing fast. With the upcoming phase-out of the netting scheme (salderingsregeling), Vandebron is at a crucial turning point. As our Interim Strategy Analyst Flex & Solar, you take ownership of the 'New flex propositions' workstream. You translate complex market dynamics and data into a clear, actionable long-term Flex strategy. You will build concrete business cases, explore new growth opportunities, and research the pricing models for our next generation of smart energy solutions. By balancing immediate analytical needs with long-term vision, your insights will lay the groundwork this year to ensure our teams can successfully launch automated Flex products in 2027.

What you’ll deliver

You seamlessly move between detailed complex data analysis and high-level advisory. You are hired to deliver the following concrete results:

  • Within 3 months: Based on market research and quantitative simulations, advise on solutions for the end of the netting scheme, focusing on best-in-market dynamic contracts and time-of-use tariffs to help solar customers lower their bills.

  • Within 6 months: Validate the commercial viability of our new products through thorough market and financial impact modelling, and use these insights to shape a fully approved Flex & Solar roadmap for 2026/2027, determining the optimal sequence for product launches.

  • By the end of the year: Deliver the complex pricing algorithms and quantitative margin calculations required for at least 3 ready-to-build MVP concepts. Also define target audiences, business outcomes and pricing/tariff approach (e.g., subscription vs. reward-based).

  • Ongoing: Drive product development alongside the PO Flex ('you define why/what, they define how') and align with external partners like Kraken to maximize IT capabilities across the flex ecosystem.

What you bring

We’re looking for a highly analytical professional who translates complex data into clear vision. You operate with a high degree of independence but know that the best products are built through cross-functional collaboration.

  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic or analytical role, within the energy market.

  • A deep understanding of the energy transition and the netting scheme phase-out, paired with the strategic vision to offset its impact on customers.

  • Proven experience in designing MVPs, determining target groups, and developing pricing/value propositions.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills are a requirement to independently validate your strategic assumptions with real data. Advanced Excel skills are required; experience with SQL (and preferably Python) or BI tools (e.g., LookerLightdash, or PowerBI, Tableau) is a plus.

  • You have a proven track record of bridging the gap between deep-dive data analytics and high-level commercial strategy.

  • A pragmatic, autonomous mindset: you take full ownership to get things done fast in a dynamic environment.
