Job description
About Vandebron
Vandebron is a challenger within the Dutch energy market, committed to radical transparency and sustainability. We empower consumers to choose their energy sources and know exactly where their money goes. As pioneers in the industry, we develop smart energy applications like 100% green and smart charging solutions. Our mission is crystal clear: make 100% sustainable energy available 100% of the time, as quickly as possible.
The Team
You will join our Tech department, which is responsible for developing all digital products for our customers and energy producers. You'll work alongside a few other Flow Masters, each supporting two development teams. As a Flow Master, you will closely collaborate with Staff Engineers and the Manager Engineering to coach teams and their engineers to reach their full potential.
Why 'Flow Master' Instead of 'Scrum Master'?
Agility is key to Vandebron's evolution. We strive to achieve a “state of flow” meaning constant value delivery while doing what we enjoy with focus. This requires the right mindset, behavior, approach, and support. While Scrum is a valuable framework, we seek greater flexibility to optimise for flow and agility. That's why we chose the title "Flow Master," emphasizing our goal to improve flow rather than strictly adhere to Scrum methodologies.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Adopt the Agile Mindset: Promote Agile values and principles, supporting methods like Scrum and Kanban without strict adherence to frameworks.
Foster Positive Team Dynamics: Nurture psychological safety and a participatory environment within teams, influencing dynamics constructively.
Support Product Owners: Assist Product Owners with effective product management practices, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
Guide Teams to Performance: Coach, mentor, and teach teams to achieve a state of flow through self-management and cross-functionality.
Facilitate Growth and Development: Support individual team members in setting and achieving development goals aligned with our job-level framework.
Provide Continuous Feedback: Engage in regular one-on-one conversations with engineers, offering constructive feedback to support their personal and professional growth.
Participate in Growth Cycles: Contribute to the company's growth cycle process, helping engineers prepare, reflect, and take actionable steps based on feedback and goals.
Collaborate with Manager Engineering: Work closely with the Manager Engineering to ensure alignment on growth objectives and regularly exchange insights to optimise individual development plans.
Resolve Impediments: Identify and address obstacles that hinder team progress, owning and solving impediments beyond the team's ability to resolve.
Enhance Cross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate coordination and teamwork between different development teams, fostering collaboration across the organisation.

Product Development Savvy: Thorough knowledge of modern product development practices.
Workshop Facilitator: Skilled in designing and delivering workshops on Agile methodologies.
