Job description

As our new Website & App owner you will be end to end responsible for the Vandebron.nl website and app environment.

Who we are

At Vandebron, we're transforming the energy landscape, steering away from the conventional to champion sustainability. Born in 2014, our journey began with Chapter 1, disrupting the market with a transparent platform connecting consumers directly to local, green energy producers. Now, in Chapter 2, we are dedicated to ensuring 100% green energy availability, 100% of the time. Think smart solutions — flexible use of wind and solar farms, Smart EV Charging, and efficient energy storage.

No waiting around, we actively shape a sustainable future. Good energy, smart solutions — that's Vandebron.

Your impact

The Strategy & Business Development team is responsible for Vandebron’s sustainable growth strategy and community partnerships from a holistic perspective across the Consumer and Producer organization. The primary focus of the Consumer Strategy & Business Development team is successfully leading and converting new business strategies and collaborations in the world of leading (international) sustainable brands, while also being an important liaison to the Producer side of Vandebron’s business.

As Website & App Manager within the Strategy team you will take charge of the total online domain Vandebron.nl and the mobile app(s). You will develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to get the most out of our digital platforms; for the business, for the brand, and for the company as a whole. In our ambitious future roadmap, the synergy between the platform and app are key. You will collaborate with Marketing, Proposition, Commerce, Operations, Product and Tech to translate everyone's needs into a quality showcase of what Vandebron represents and has to offer. And you will be the bridge to web functionalities for HR and Producer – prioritizing content and initiatives. Most importantly, you will be consumer centric in your decision making.

What you’ll do

  • Own the website and app: be the business owner and gatekeeper of everything that happens on our digital platforms – across the full company

  • Digital marketing enablement: manage and coordinate all digital marketing efforts, together with responsible teams, which includes Brand and Performance Media (including search, paid social, affiliates and organic social), Loyalty, CX, eCommerce and Market Intelligence

  • Fuel innovation: responsible for the continued development of our mobile-energy solutions, functioning of the e-commerce platform and other digital services – continuously improve the consumer experience throughout the digital journey

  • Initiate improvement: continuously improve the website and app based on insights and business needs – uncover online and offline consumer insights that shape both strategies and tactics

What you bring

  • Mission-driven: you are passionate about contributing to our mission and making a positive impact

  • Digital expert: 8+ years of digital marketing experience, ideally in tech, telecom or consumer services, with responsibility for website and app-based environments

  • Strong leadership skills: in this role you are not a team manager but you will lead project teams to elevate our digital capabilities, and coordinate initiatives between departments

  • Brand & performance experience: you know what it takes to build a brand and how to convert visitors into customers – track record of having grown both brand metrics and business performance.

What’s in it for you

  • To work towards our mission with a good dose of energy, we offer you 30 paid days off per year

  • Work abroad for up to 6 weeks per year (max 4 consecutive weeks, including up to 4 weeks outside the EU)

  • Employees with three years of service can go on a sabbatical for up to three months (one month paid with holidays, two unpaid)

  • Request special leave for significant personal events, volunteering for SDG 11 or 13, and an additional day for religious or personal celebrations (starting on Jan ’25)

  • Fuel your brain with an annual €850 learning budget to grow personally and professionally

  • Dive into new skills with access to Learning & Development workshops and programs

  • Plan for the future with our 3rd-tier pension scheme

  • Stay connected hassle-free with a monthly €50 net reimbursement for your phone and wifi

  • One-time €200 net allowance to create a comfortable home workspace for our team members

  • Split your time between our carbon-neutral Amsterdam office at the city’s heart and your home, finding the perfect balance for you

  • Enjoy daily organic lunches prepared by our in-house cooks

  • For those living 10km or more from the office, hop on board with an NS business card for smooth commuting

  • Ready to spread your wings? We've got your back with a €1500 relocation package

  • Immerse yourself in the local culture by exploring Dutch language courses
