This is where you’ll end up

You will end up in the Data Analytics team, which is at the core of Vandebron. We enable a wide variety of business teams such as digital, finance, marketing, electric mobility as well as customer facing teams, to make data-driven decisions by means of automated reporting, deep dive/ statistical analytics as well as building and maintaining data products. We also work closely with leadership teams to support business-wide projects and facilitate decision making on a company level. You’ll be working in the commercial analytics team consisting of both data analysts and engineers and led by a Product Owner. We’re a fast-pacing team that makes high-impact decisions and provides a mix of building and maintaining a state of the art data platform, data modeling and dashboarding as well as solving advanced analytics challenges together with a larger group of business analysts in the domain teams.


What are you going to do?

  • Work on improving and operating our (modern) data stack, maintain and improve our current and future ETL (/ELT) pipelines run smoothly and help analysts and engineers improve and extend the existing infrastructure

  • Manage our orchestration tooling and make sure our (critical) data products are accessible to internal and external teams

  • Working closely within a tight knit central data team that consists of analysts, engineers, data scientists and be the point of contact for embedded analysts

  • Work on actively sharing and presenting your findings and knowledge with other business teams, embedded analysts and in the wider data community

  • Learn new tools and techniques that continuously improve our existing data infrastructure

Job requirements

This is how you make a difference

  • You have a strong background and solid working experience as a data engineer (2+ years)

  • You are an strong experience using Python, SQL and have strong knowledge of ETL (ELT) processes and tooling

  • You are familiar with modern data tools and preferably have experience with Snowflake/ dbt (or data modeling in general) and orchestration tooling (e.g. Dagster)

  • You are engaged and committed to helping stakeholders/ analysts derive value from their data; you’re interested beyond the mere technical details.

  • You are someone who actively thinks about business problems, shares findings with stakeholders and is eager to help others find solutions in data. You will help people understand how to get value from data and get the business relevance of an analysis.

  • You have experience with visualization tools used for reporting

  • You have experience (preferably) with version control and are comfortable with git, working in a centralized environment

  • You are a good communicator and are keen to work closely in a close knit team
