Job description
Who we are
At Vandebron, we're transforming the energy landscape, steering away from the conventional to champion sustainability. Born in 2014, our journey began with Chapter 1, disrupting the market with a transparent platform connecting consumers directly to local, green energy producers.
Now, in Chapter 2, we are dedicated to ensuring 100% green energy availability - 100% of the time. Think smart solutions - flexible use of wind and solar farms, Smart EV Charging, and efficient energy storage. No waiting around - we actively shape a sustainable future.
Good energy, smart solutions - that’s Vandebron.
Your impact
As a Visual & Motion Designer, you are a key guardian of Vandebron’s visual identity. You create consistent, high-quality brand and performance visuals across all digital and print touchpoints, ensuring our brand is instantly recognizable and effective - whether someone sees us in a paid social ad, on our website, or at a live event.
This is a hands-on role where brand, performance, and design come together. While the foundation is a strong and established brand system, visual and motion design with short-form video, play a crucial role in driving performance across digital channels. You know when to optimize for results and when to protect the brand - and how to balance both.
You thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple requests with structure and reliability, while proactively exploring creative opportunities within (and sometimes beyond) our design system.
What you’ll do
Spend around 70% of your time creating and iterating (AI generated) visual assets for performance marketing channels such as paid social, display, and affiliate
Optimize designs based on performance data, learnings, and best practices
Design brand visuals for web, including landing pages, campaign pages, and brand sections using existing modules
Create visual assets for organic social (reels, stories), with a strong understanding of what works in organic versus paid
Design and animate short-form motion assets for paid social, video ads, and reels
Translate brand guidelines into motion principles (timing, transitions, typography, pacing)
Iterate and improve motion assets based on performance insights such as hooks, formats, and storytelling
Design print and brand collateral, including posters, infographics, presentations, merchandise, and event materials
Deliver production-ready files for both digital and print channels
What you bring
At least 3 years of experience in visual and motion design, either in-house or at an agency
Strong experience designing within established brand systems
Experience with AI content generation tools for rapid concept exploration, efficient asset variation, motion experimentation, and higher-volume output
Ability to adapt designs across multiple formats and channels (digital and print)
Advanced use of Figma, including components, libraries, and developer handoff
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and motion design for short-form performance and social assets
Strong attention to detail and visual quality, with the ability to work in a structured, consistent way within established brand guidelines
Effective prioritization in fast-paced environments, adapting designs smoothly across channels and beyond existing modules when needed
A problem-solving, flexible mindset, creating new design solutions when standard approaches don’t fully fit
Why this role is a meaningful career move
This role is a great next step for a Designer who wants to grow at the intersection of brand, performance, and motion. You’ll work hands-on across a wide range of touchpoints, gaining confidence in designing within a strong brand system while still having room to explore and push creative ideas.
It’s a balanced role: structured brand work combined with performance-driven iteration. That balance will sharpen both your creative judgment and your impact on real, measurable results.
What you’ll learn
How to consistently translate a brand system across performance, organic, web, motion, and print
How to balance brand consistency with performance needs - knowing when to optimize and when to protect the brand
How to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
How to collaborate closely with Growth and Product teams to turn strategy into effective visuals
What success looks like after your first 6–12 months
Consistent delivery of high-quality visual and motion assets across performance, brand, and social channels
Improved performance of key assets through structured iteration and optimization
Strong adherence to brand guidelines, including a clear translation into motion and performance formats
Smooth collaboration with the people in your team, Growth, and Product teams, with clear workflows and handoffs
Recognition as a reliable guardian of Vandebron’s visual identity who can independently manage multiple requests
What’s in it for you
A monthly salary ranging between €3,500.- and €4,500, depending on experience, based on a 40-hour workweek, excluding holiday allowance
An annual bonus based on company performance
30 paid days off per year
Work abroad for up to 6 weeks per year (max. 4 consecutive weeks, including up to 4 weeks outside the EU)
A sabbatical option after three years of service (one month paid with holidays, two unpaid)
Special leave for personal milestones, volunteering, and an extra day for religious or personal celebrations
An annual €850 learning budget plus access to Learning & Development programs
A solid pension scheme
€50 net per month for phone and Wi-Fi
A one-time €200 net allowance for your home workspace
A flexible hybrid setup between home and our carbon-neutral Amsterdam office
Daily free, healthy, warm, vegetarian lunches prepared by our in-house cooks
An NS business card if you live 10km or more from the office
