This is where you’ll end up

You will end up in the Data Analytics team, which is at the core of Vandebron. You’ll be working in the energy services and flex analytics team (a subteam of the central data team) consisting of both data scientists and engineers where you will take the role of product owner. We’re a fast-pacing team that makes high-impact decisions and provides a mix of exciting new engineering and analytics challenges working with a modern data stack in an exciting and always changing environment. As Data Analytics team we enable a wide variety of business teams such as digital, finance, energy services, marketing, electric mobility as well as customer facing teams, to make data-driven decisions by means of automated reporting, deep dive/ statistical analytics as well as building and maintaining data products. We also work closely with leadership teams to support business-wide projects and facilitate decision making on a company level.

What are you going to do?

• Run the daily operations of the team, including sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements and set the roadmap for the team in coordination with the manager

• Being hands on by contributing to analyses, developing data products and being able to review output from the team

• Coordinate with the product and business domains to make sure that we align the business needs to the roadmap of the team

• Working closely within a tight knit central data team that consists of analysts, engineers, data scientists and share knowledge within the data community

• Work on actively sharing and presenting your findings and knowledge with other business teams, distributed business analysts in order to lift the data-savviness within Vandebron

This is how you make a difference

• Have a strong vision about running the daily operations of a data team; experienced in agile project management, being pragmatic and ambitious

• Have a strong understanding of data science, analytics and engineering and knowing how to apply and yield value from these different functionalities in the context of the team and beyond

• You have relevant working experience as a data scientist, engineer or analyst.

• You have experience with SQL and are familiar with databases / data warehousing concepts (dbt + snowflake big plus)

• You have experience with performing more advanced analyses (in Python/ R) and know how to uncover value from data

• You have experience (preferably) with version control and are comfortable with git, working in a centralized environment

• You are a good communicator and are keen to work closely in a close knit team with a shared vision and responsibility in the data domain at Vandebron
