This is where you’ll end up

The Agile People Coach is an entirely new role within Vandebron and our Digital team. In this role you’re responsible for coaching and mentoring our Scrum Masters and Software Engineers to leverage Agile principles, practices and frameworks. All Vandebron Scrum teams are autonomous and have a full-ownership mindset. You will be surrounded by a diverse team that strives to push each other forward, and you will become an integral part of this by also sharing your own knowledge and expertise. In addition you will also work closely with our tech leads, scrum masters, designers and product owners to help shape the future of Vandebron. An Agile People Coach at Vandebron, is more than just an Agile Coach, although the basic understanding of agile values, agile tools and methods, systems theory, and organizations are the same. The difference lies in the deeper people-perspective and having worked as a leader and/or an HR person. How well you can create conditions for people to perform together will affect how much value is created for Vandebron.

What are you going to do?

  • Your main focus will be on coaching our Software Engineers in their ambitions growth path and help them to make a personal impact

  • Coaching our engineers to find a place where they can be the best they can be and be happy, is a core quality for an Agile People Coach
    You will guide us towards mastering the best practices that Agile has to offer

  • You will be responsible for guiding Vandebron in our journey towards becoming super Agile

  • Coach autonomous teams on adopting an Agile mindset and support the self-organization of teams

  • Support organizations in developing value trees and associated actionable outcome based Agile metrics

  • You bring awareness about tools, methods, models, and frameworks, for making a software development team perform

  • Provide guidelines on the formation of Epics, Features, and User Stories

  • Provide guidelines on slicing Epics into Features and Features into User Stories

  • Assess the current processes/practices and support defining an appropriate Agile delivery approach

Job requirements

This is how you make a difference

We are looking for individuals with a strong People Coaching and Agile delivery track record. You need to have the awareness that the secret to success always comes from people's motivation to create value and that different things motivate different people to perform.

  • You have at least a minimum of 4 years of verifiable experience in Professional Coaching. In addition, you have experience in personal development and training professionals.

  • Be knowledgeable and passionate about Agile and Business Transformation

  • You have extensive knowledge of Lean, Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Ideally you are Agile certified and experienced in Agile Tooling (e.g. SPC, CSM, PSM)

  • (Demonstrable experience with Lean-Startup or other product innovation techniques)

  • Willing and able to contribute to Agile Communities of Practice in addition to coaching work

  • You are a strong communicator, love to mentor people and help them grow in their careers and personal development.

  • (You have a strong background in resolving conflicts and negotiation.)
