The Data Analytics team consists of highly skilled data experts who provide data products and insights. These are essential to developing innovative and smart solutions and to making more effective decisions. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for someone to maintain and improve the forecasting pipelines within our domain team of Energy Services & Flex Analytics. This team is responsible for full-stack predictive analytics processes in the energy services sector. These services include day-ahead supply & demand forecasting, intraday trading, and demand-response solutions and are essential to balancing the energy grid. Will you help us in innovating these services and creating a smarter and more sustainable energy market?

What are you going to do?

  • Analyse, model and interpret data in order to design and build analytical solutions to support our mission.

  • Contribute to improve and automate our forecasting pipelines and create algorithms for flex propositions.

  • Collaborate with experts in the field of the energy market to define success criteria and formalise business requirements into data problems and actionable plans.

  • Communicate key results to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Work in an international environment and interact with data scientists, machine learning engineers, DevOps, architects, developers, and business leaders.

Job requirements

This is how you make a difference

  • You have 1 to 3 years of experience with advanced analytic techniques and statistics, specifically used in machine learning models. Experience in the energy industry and/or energy trading is a pré.

  • You have a university degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field.

  • You are skilled in SQL and at least one scripting/programming language, like Python or R.

  • You have experience with Git and deployment automation tools (CI/CD).

  • You have strong analytical skills and you are a results-oriented person who is able to work independently, from analysis to design to implementation.

  • You are a teamplayer with a positive attitude and good communication skills.

  • You are flexible in dealing with change and have a mindset of continuous learning and growth.

  • You have affinity with the mission of Vandebron.

  • You are fluent in English (speaking Dutch is not required).
